We are excited to announce a major achievement for CUBE: our recertification for ISO 19650, the internationally recognized standard for managing information using Building Information Modeling (BIM) in construction management. This is a significant step for us, and what makes it even more remarkable is that CUBE is the first Indian product to achieve this prestigious certification! This achievement is reflective of our commitment towards international best practices, and in the global sense, it highlights our passion for design, construction, and asset management.

CUBE’s Role in Information Management

At its core, CUBE is a Connected Unified Built Environment Management System that enables organizations to control & monitor their project’s design, timeline, and costs through a cloud-based interface that can be accessed from anywhere and on any device.

Our comprehensive platform integrates a suite of functions that elevate construction project outcomes, including:

  • A centralized Common Data Environment to manage data of all projects in a single place, providing a much-needed centralized data repository
  • Flexible and robust file and folder management system gives a familiar document management experience
  • Online viewing of CAD and BIM file formats without the need of any additional software license or heavy and expensive hardware
  • Ability to create spaces for teams, to encourage collaboration at all levels of the hierarchy
  • Allow external vendors and consultants to upload and manage their data in a separate space and share when ready for approval from other stakeholders
  • Ability to create tasks and raise and assign issues with drawings and models
  • 3D Viewer - Capabilities
    • View any model from top or side views or walk through it, in an interactive manner
    • Cut Sections and section boxes
    • Take measurements
    • View model parameters and interact with model data directly
    • Append different models from different stakeholders to create one federated model
  • 2D Viewer - Capabilities
    • View CAD files in model space and paper space
    • Take measurements
  • Customizable project settings allows the user to configure each project based on their type
  • Create issues, markups and comments on 2D drawings and 3D models to communicate changes, discrepancies or disagreements in design
  • Create transmittals to share data across spaces and teams, all the while maintaining a detailed log
  • Version Control built in for allowing users to track changes to files over the lifecycle of the project
  • Module-specific functionalities that allow users to perform all downstream activities like create estimates, manage costs, do clash detection, plan schedules, and much more.
  • In ISO 19650, an 'information container' refers to a structured set of information that is packaged for sharing and management within the context of building and construction projects. It serves as a way to organize and store data, including documents, models, and other relevant project information, ensuring that it is easily accessible and can be effectively communicated among stakeholders. The concept emphasizes the importance of clear organization and consistent naming conventions to facilitate collaboration, enhance data retrieval, and improve overall project efficiency.
  • Containers are placeholders for files where the user can specify the file type. Custom fields for files can be imported from Excel or specified within the app.

CUBE’s compliance with ISO 19650 Standards

Achieving ISO 19650 compliance is a critical step in cementing CUBE’s position as a leader in construction information management. The ISO 19650 framework is a globally recognized standard for organizing and managing information across the lifecycle of construction projects, with BIM at its core.

CUBE’s compliance covers several key standards under the ISO 19650 umbrella, including:

  1. BS EN ISO 19650-1:2018: This standard outlines the concepts and principles of using BIM for managing information throughout a built asset's lifecycle. It also emphasizes on collaboration and well-defined roles and responsibilities.
  2. BS EN ISO 19650-2:2018: This standard focuses on the information management requirements during the asset's delivery phase, including design, construction, and commissioning.
  3. BS EN ISO 19650-3:2020: This standard addresses information management during the operational phase of assets, which includes maintenance, renovation, and decommissioning. It stresses the importance of transitioning BIM data between the delivery and operational phases.
  4. BS 1192-4:2014: This British Standard is relevant to BIM as it specifies requirements for the preparation and management of construction information using collaborative technologies.
  5. BS EN ISO 19650-5:2020: This standard deals with security-minded information management when using BIM. It emphasizes creating a security conscious culture and implementing measures to monitor and verify compliance.
  6. PAS 1192-6:2018: This focuses on the collaborative production of information, aligning with the principles outlined in ISO 19650-4.

Setting Benchmark in the Industry

CUBE’s compliance with ISO 19650 standards demonstrates our commitment to setting a benchmark for quality and efficiency in the construction industry. By integrating globally recognized standards into our platform, we are not only improving the way we manage information but also creating long-term value for our customers.

Here’s to a future of smarter, more efficient construction with CUBE!
