Bridging the gap between Academia and Industry: MoU between CUBE & VNIT

On September 26, 2024, CUBE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry and, therefore, will promote collaboration to enhance research, development, and the application of advanced technologies for cutting-edge work in the construction domain.

Shared Vision

The primary objective of this MoU is to widen the horizons in the Digital transformation of the Construction Management industry by allowing knowledge transfer to both students and professionals in the AEC sector. Together, using the power of digital technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) & digital twins, VNIT and CUBE shall explore innovative solutions that shall transform this industry.

This partnership is believed to add value and help the graduates better prepare for industry standards, especially with civil engineering and architecture backgrounds.

A key focus of the MoU is to ensure that prospective graduates are industry-ready. This will be achieved through hands-on training, internships, and and collaborative projects with cutting-edge digital tools and technologies. By this, VNIT and CUBE hope to create an environment that will help students face the real-world challenges in the construction industry with leading-edge digital management tools.

A Collaborative Ecosystem

The MoU marks a very important milestone for VNIT and CUBE in actualizing the culture of collaboration and innovation within both institutions.

CUBE will soon be conducting an on-campus lecture series, which will be given by Viraj Voditel, Co-founder of CUBE, to help them learn more about industry and how to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical applications in the real world, with the help of functionalities present in the CUBE.

Way Forward

This collaboration will not only expand educational opportunities at VNIT but also contribute more broadly to the goals of the construction industry. It will combine academic research with practical applicability toward paving the way for breakthrough developments within digital construction, between VNIT and CUBE.
